World Music Day 2022, History, Significance, Motivational Quotes

Music has always played a significant role in society. When people are joyful, sad, romantic, or in any other mood, they listen to music. On June 21, 2022, the globe will once again commemorate World Music Day, as it does every year.

Every year, the day is commemorated to honour singers and artists from all over the world for their contributions to the realm of music. The subject for the day this year is “Music at Intersections.” Those who enjoy listening to music might mark the occasion by listening to music and songs.

It should be highlighted that France’s Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, as well as music composer Maurice Fleure, were among the first to organise music celebrations. According to accounts, the event was first held at Fete de la Musique in the year after Lang discovered that just one out of every two persons in the country could play a musical instrument. He decided to hold an event on June 21, 1982, as a result of this. It was eventually observed by over 120 countries all around the world.

India is hosting a lot of events this year as well. Mumbai’s National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), according to Deccan heald, is planning to organise a 36-piece orchestra. On Saturday and Sunday, the centre will host three performances. At the event, the Symphony Orchestra of India, which was founded by NCPA in 2006, will perform. It will perform ‘The Marriage of Figao,’ ‘Pastoral,’ and ‘Carmen Suite,’ among other works. On Saturday morning, a youth concert will be presented. This performance is intended for children over the age of twenty.

Ranga Shankara founder Arundhati Nag told the press that the day should be commemorated because the country now had a “philharmonic orchestra.”
